My Weakness, His Strenght

weakness

Psalm 73:26

My flesh and my heart may grow weak, but God always  protects my heart and gives me stability.

There are days that I wake up feeling tired, achy, and hurting. My body, after all, made of flesh grows older each day. If it is not one thing is the other. At the same time, after suffering through turmoils and heartache, I grow weak in mind and spirit. My heart feels the aching.

However, God’s grace is sufficient for me. It restores my physical strength and heals my spirit. I will hold on to God’s grace and allow it to let my weakness become His strength in me. His strength will feed my soul the energy it needs to continue carrying on when I am ready to give up.

Thank you, Lord, for being my strength, my protector, and my stability. It is you who regains in my, the love I need.

Weary No More, My Lord

Jeremiah 31 25

Today’s Word

Weary

Exhausted in strength, endurance, vigor or freshness

Today’s Verse

Jeremiah 31:25

I will fully satisfy the needs of those who are weary and fully refresh the souls of those who are faint

Weary and Weak

There are days when we feel exhausted, not only physically, but also emotionally. It seems as our mind is filled with worries. All together causes us to lose our grip on life, even if for a moment. Needless to say, we become weary, we lose our strength, it’s hard to endure the day.

Satisfy and Refresh

However, God says that He will satisfy our needs when we are weary, and he will bring a breath of fresh air into our souls so that we may regain our strength. Cling on this promise. Seek God’s refreshing strength. Put on the armor of the Holy Spirit and give it your cares, heartaches, and concerns. Let your mind be renewed by the spirit and his grace.

Weary No More

After we let God refresh our spirit, we free our heart, mind, and soul to rejuvenate one more time. It is a completely new mindset. God’s word, spirit, and love will surround our mind and fill it with strength so that we may no longer feel faint.

Thank God

Thank you Lord for strengthening my mind, body, and spirit, for filling my heart with hope, my soul with strength, and my mind with loving scripture. Guide me today, and every day. Remind me to be weary no more.

How Glorious to be Saved

ephesians 1 13Word for Today

Seal

To decide irrevocably: as in “to seal someone’s fate”

Verse for Today

Ephesians 1:13

And when you heard the word of truth (the gospel of your salvation) – when you believed in Christ  you were marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit

The day we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, our fate was sealed. We received the promise of the Holy Spirit and God accepted us into His Kingdom. What a glorious day that was.

“Oh! How I love Jesus, for all He has done for me.

Oh! Wonderful savior who gave His life for me.

I remember long ago when my savior freed my soul,

What a glorious day that was.

It all seemed to be the end, but his mercy intervened.

Now, I am saved.

When temptation came up close,

He made sure that it was gone”

How wonderful is to be saved, to have the Holy Spirit dwell in us, to have Jesus by our side, and to be called a child of God.

It is a decision to which I have no regret.

ACCEPT JESUS TODAY. JOIN THE FAMILY

Making Time for the Family

Ecclesiastes 3:6-7

 A time to search, and a time to give something up as lost; a time to keep, and a time to throw away;
A time to rip, and a time to sew; a time to keep silent, and a time to speak.

It is a wonder with the busy lifestyles we have that we have lost time with our families. It is time we take back what has been taken from us. It is time to spend time with our families, even if we have to schedule it into our busy lives.

Make a Calendar

What is more important in life than our families? Only God is. Everything else takes a second position to these two. We must take back our family time. If it means that we need to create a calendar, then we must.

· A calendar can be created, or it can be purchased.

· Pencil in the activities we are committed to, like work, exercise, church, devotions, etc, and then fill in the gaps with family time.

· Get an agreement from all members of the family.

· Set up a schedule

Schedule Activities

Once the family is in agreement, and you have set up a schedule, then choose what activities you are going to do together as a family. It doesn’t have to be expensive outings, just time together to talk to each other and converse about your daily lives.

Some activities we can choose from are:

· Reading a book together, read the Bible, devotions, etc.

· Conversing about daily lives

· Playing games: like, board games, card games, and others.

· Go on a picnic

· Go to a park

Follow Through

Next and foremost, follow through with the commitment to the family. Ensure nothing gets in the way of family time.

· Remind the family of appointment

· Post the calendar

· Appoint persons to be in charge of organizing each different activity

· Have fun together

Ensure that all members agree upon all activities. Some may have to concede with the majority.

If needed set up a vote, or put activity suggestions in a bowl and pick from them. Whichever way is chosen, it should assist in deciding what activities the family will enjoy. If there are young children in the family, include them when choosing activities. Make sure that everyone has a voice and that his or her voice is heard. There is no need not exclude anyone.

Hidden Secrets: Truth Revealed

Today’s Word

 Hidden

Keep (something) secret; prevent from being known or noticed.

Today’s Verse

 Luke 12

2 Nothing is hidden that will not be revealed, and nothing is secret that will not be made known.

Secrets have a way of revealing themselves. In time, all is known. As we grow in faith and knowledge of the Word of God, the Holy Spirit works in our hearts so that we may confess all our sins, not some, all.

It is such a relief to our heavy hearts once we confess. Our burden is lifted, our heart its cleansed of worries, and our mind is freed from guilt.

Burdens are Lifted

Carrying a secret is like carrying a huge rock on our backs. It weighs us down. It keeps us from working at full capacity. It keeps us from reaching our goals.

Confessing our sins lifts our burdens from our hearts and minds. It stops weighing us down. It allows us to focus on the word of God.

 Hearts are Cleansed

After we confess all of our sins, our hearts are cleansed by God’s forgiveness and acceptance. Instead of putting our efforts into hiding our secret, we can now place our efforts on learning, studying, and applying the Word of God. It can now speak to our cleansed hearts so that we may continue to grow as believers.

A cleansed heart seeks pureness, kindness, and love.

 Mind is Free from Guilt

After our hearts are cleansed, our mind is freed from all guilt. We have our thoughts of God in the forefront. We no longer have to worry, or feel guilty for hiding our secret. We let it out and with that; we released our mind from its binding guilty thoughts.

As our mind is freed, it seeks guidance, self-control, and knowledge.
