The Bible: Our Inspiration

Today’s Word

Divine influence directly and immediately exerted upon the mind or soul.

The divine quality of the writings or words of a person so influenced.

Today’s Verse

2 Timothy 3

16 Every scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness,

17  that the person dedicated to God may be capable and equipped for every good work.

The Bible, a book inspired by God in order to convey to us His message of salvation, His message of love, and His message of inspiration for our lives. As we read it, we see His words written, His message explained, and His love for us.

Message of Salvation

How beautiful is the word of God! As we read it and learn from it, we grow in wisdom, grace, and faith. All are gifts from God. They are gifts that were paid by the sacrifice of his only son, Jesus Christ. He died for all of us so that we could enjoy eternal salvation. All we have to do is believe that Jesus died, was buried, resurrected, and now sits at the right hand of God.

God’s Message

Not only must we believe, but also we must read His Word, the Bible, a book with many authors who, by the inspiration of God, wrote a guide for us to learn, study, and follow. God used each author to convey His magnificence, love, hope, forgiveness, and acceptance.

Inspired Application

As we read the Bible, we are amazed at its application to our daily lives. No matter what we need, we can reach to it and find words of wisdom. If we are having a bad day, we can find words of encouragement. If we are weary with our troubles, we can find peace. If we are grieving, we can find understanding.

Reach to your Bible, today.

Let God speak to your heart.

Let God inspire you.

  1. Beautiful spirituality ,thank you for visiting my blog.Blessing and warm wishes.

  2. Charlee,

Thanks so much for this posting. I really appreciate the points you stressed. All three present to us the most important aspects of the Word for each one of us. (Salvation, God’s Message, and Inspirtation).

If we only stopped and really considered these three, and their importance for our lives, we would begin to develop a much needed greater appreciation for the Word.

Thanks for the much needed reminder for us all! Lord bless you this Thanksgiving season!

  3. Thank You, Pastor Rob for your words on such a great subject. Its simplicity goes far beyond our comprehension, yet we understand its importance.

This Thanksgiving season, I am grateful for finding you. You are an inspiration to me.
