When I listen to others tell me their problems, I do my best to empathize with them. I focus all my attention on them, and listen to what they are saying. I try hard not to be composing an answer until they are finished. However, not everyone does that. It can be frustrating to converse with someone who instead of listening, is trying to answer before we are done contributing what is in our hearts. As a person, I feel that I need to understand what is being conveyed.
That is one good thing about talking to God. He always listens to everything we have to say without interrupting us. He patiently waits for us to finish. He makes it easy to communicate with Him. So, talk to Him, wait for His answer, and savor His compassion.
Talking to God
Whenever there is something in our heart that we need help with, we need to let Him know. Let all our burdens be casted on him. He loves being sought after. He enjoys being a part of our lives. He is a good listener. He waits for us to tell Him everything before he intercedes. He understands our thoughts, our heart, our intentions, and our burdens.
Waiting for His answer
Communication with God has many rewards. We talk to Him. He answers back. It may take some time, but he is working on our requests. When we communicate with Him, we let him know that we wait for his reply. We aren’t just talking to talk. We must have patience when we are waiting for an answer. If we believe in our hearts that he has heard us, then we believe in our hearts that he will answer.
Because God is compassionate, we can rest assured that he will not judge us for asking, for talking, or for being listened to. Our spirit will guide us on what is right or wrong. He will intercede when the time is right. God shows his compassion for us in many ways. We may see it, hear it, or feel it. He will hug us when we need a hug, love us when we need love, and care for us when we need caring.
15 For he says to Moses: “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.”
13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on his faithful followers.
