I am God’s Witness: May I Speak to Your Heart

HUMBLE

Many Christians go around the world, countries, cities, neighborhoods, and churches witnessing for God. They do so because it is the right thing to do. They do so because they learn from reading the word of God that we must be witnesses to the world, we must spread the Gospel of Jesus, and we must win souls to Salvation. However, how many do it through words, example, or for the triumph of the Kingdom of Heaven?

1 Timothy

4: 12 Let no one look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in your speech, conduct, love, faithfulness,  and purity.

What do I mean by that?

Simple. The reason we should witness is so that each person we touch will eventually triumph on this Earth and become a child of God. Since God lives in Heaven, then the reward of their triumph is to live eternally in the Kingdom of Heaven.

Some argue that the Kingdom of Heaven is in Heaven. Others argue that the Kingdom of Heaven will not be so until its arrival on Earth. However, I do not want to enter into this argument. I simply want to talk about our triumphs on Earth and the trophy is eternal life in the Kingdom of Heaven.

To live with God the Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit ought to be the prize that we all seek.

How can we witness triumph?

The best way I know how is to be a true witness, one that leads others to Heaven not only by speaking the word of God, but by living it as well.

Have you ever sat down and observed babies, toddlers, and preschool children? I am sure you have. Then, in that case, you will agree that they learn by observation. They are like sponges, absorb their surroundings, and imitate what they learn.

That is how others perceive our lives as Christians. They listen to what we say, but watch what we do. It is imperative to lead a life that is honest, honorable, and memorable.

Honesty

When we speak to others, speak from the heart, be honest, and don’t fluff. Although we may speak, act, and think with God as our Guidance, the fact that we are human will allow for mistakes to be made, the wrong things to be said, and our actions to be seen, right or wrong.

I have made so many mistakes in my life. Ufff! Yes, plenty. Some are pretty colorful, while others are plain. However, they were mistakes, and I made them. Why should I try to cover them? No, I should not. Instead, I can use those to learn from, acknowledge my weakness, and use it to teach others with experience under my belt.

Honorable

Honorable is a trait that rises from within, a state of mind that allows us to humble ourselves and honor the word of God through our words, acts, and actions. It is the pursuance of opportunities to witness for the love of God, the salvation of others, and the final reward of eternal life.

God has bestowed an honor in each of us that has received him as our Lord and Savior. He has given us the honor to speak for him to all those that we come into contact, the honor to witness to our families, children, grandchildren, and loved ones, and the honor to win our co-workers, neighbors, and friends to salvation by grace through faith.

We were given the honor to be ambassadors, speakers, and spreaders of the good news of salvation. So, live an honorable life, humble your thoughts, your words, and your actions, as they are your example to others. Believe me, we are being watched, observed, and hopefully, we did well enough to spark others’ curiosity and inquiry on how to be led to Salvation.

Matthew

184 Whoever then humbles himself like this little child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven

Memorable

A memorable life can be seen different ways, by some as good, others as bad, while few may be somewhere in between. To be a good witness for the Kingdom of Heaven we must live a memorable life that is remarkable, filled with Christian influence, and led by God.

Trust God each day to lead you in the right path. If you falter, humbly accept your errors, correct them, and learn from them. Be honest with yourself and others, and thrive for lives to cross your path so that you can in-print the love of God in their hearts.

Our lives are the Words that Witness

In your final day, let your legacy be one that was honest, honorable, and memorable. Let your legacy leave your witness for God to remain in the minds of those you touched, spoke, and shared your life with.

Plant seeds in all those that you come across, and let God do the rest. Let your goal in life be that your life spoke to the hearts of all you crossed in their paths and allowed them to hear the love that God has for each one of them.

1 Timothy

1: 16 But here is why I was treated with mercy: so that in me as the worst, Christ Jesus could demonstrate his utmost patience, as an example for those who are going to believe in him for eternal life.
