Trusting God: He Leads the Way

600px-Rainbow_in_BudapestA few weeks ago, I was faced with circumstances that tested my faith. I wondered if there was going to be a solution to the problem I was facing. It seemed that everything surrounding me was spiraling down without end.

It all started in December, changes started happening that did not seem to have any correlation to the end result. However, all changes did have a correlation. They all intertwined and made all the pieces fall into place.

What happened?

I needed to make decisions in my life that would affect the lives of others. What I did not know was that God had other plans made.

The Wonders of God

Even though, I thought I had it all figured out, nothing came to be the way I planned it. I think the wonders of God are never ceasing. He manages to show his face and wisdom and takes control of all we trust him with.

When I was making decisions, I was talking to him. When all was falling apart, I was trusting him. When all was resolved, I gave him the praise.

God leads us in unknown paths. However, he does not let us fall into darkness if we have full trust in him. When all seemed to dim around me, he placed a torch in front of my path that made it clear where I needed to step next. How wonderful? I did not have to stray or fall. His light was so bright that I did not lose my way.

Psalm 119

105 נ Your word is a lamp to walk by, and a light to illumine my path.

Calmness in the Storm

There was a storm amidst my life. Clouds of trouble stacked one of top of the other. The problems rained and flooded my mind, yet I was calm. Those around me said that I was not showing concern for the situation we were faced with. However, that was not true.

I was trusting God. I decided not to worry, for all would be resolved if I continued to allow God to be in control. It was a great test of faith. It was a test like no other. I felt peace within my heart. My mind tried to worry as my human nature would surface, but my heart continued to be at peace. I passed the test. He resolved. He controlled. He lead my path.

Philippians 4

6 Do not be anxious about anything. Instead, in every situation, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, tell your requests to God.

7 And the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

The Answer Was Clear

When God decided it was time, he intervened, gave me the correct answer, and all the pieces fell in place. It was amazing. There were no doubts, no more problems, all was resolved, in a matter of minutes everything that seemed impossible became possible.

God is so amazing. Each time he shows himself in my life, he makes it clear to me that it was his doing. Why? Because there is no other explanation for the end result. He tested me and I passed the test.

I Corinthians

13 And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it.

  1. Hi Charlee,
I love reading your articles, this one came at a perfect time.
I like what you said about people saying you weren’t showing any concern. Many years ago, I was a chronic worrier mainly because I believed that worry was being concerned. Pretty screwed up.
Finally, through the strength of Jesus I am free from worry.
    Again, great post
    Thanks
    David

    • Hi David:

It is so true, we believe that worrying is a form of self sacrifice, when actually, Jesus is the only way to have total freedom from self sacrifice and worry.

Thank you for taking the time to let me know about your struggles and triumphs.

  2. Hi Charlee, I so needed to hear these words today.

I Corinthians13 And God is faithful: He will not let you be tried beyond what you are able to bear, but with the trial will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it.

    Thank you
